Is summer over? October 27th and finally had to put a jacket on!
The plants love these cold nights. We can relax some. Germination is so much easier when it’s not 110 degress.
This is the first year we have grown Celery in the Imperial Valley...No, I take that back; my Dad grew some Celery in the late 1950’s. They transplanted in September at night under lights. I guess we didn’t do too well because it took about 50 years to give it another try.

60 Days until Harvest on the Celery
Planting season is still going on. Later water dates finish the first part of February (Spinach). Harvest is just right around the corner. We will have Cabbage ready before Thanksgiving! And Spring Mix, Spinach, Broccoli, Romaine, Hearts, Green Leaf and Frisee!

I hope we are not too early or I just hope there is a market.
